United/Developmental Program parents and supporters not only provide role models to young athletes, but they are also representatives of the organization. As such, they are held to a high standard. Any breech of the following code of conduct may result in action including a warning, request for written apology, suspension from attendance at matches or tournaments, removal of underlying player from the club or developmental program.
Specifically, any parent ejected from a match will be subject to the following after it is reported to the Director of Coaching (parents should note that coaches are required as a part of their job to report ejections to the DOC). The DOC reports ejections to the board of directors.

1. First ejection–in addition to leaving the match in question the parent/supporter will be required to write an apology to CSO Board of Directors and the referee assignor of the event in question.
2. Second ejection–in addition to leaving the match in question the parent/supporter will be suspended from the next match at which their player is scheduled to play.
3. Third ejection–in addition to leaving the match in question the parent/supporter will be suspended from attendance at all United/Developmental matches for the remainder of the season.
The above guidelines reference ejections within a single playing season.

While winning is important, playing well and fairly is the essence of the game.

I/we will set a good example to my/our child in his soccer development by adhering at all

times to the following:

*We will not criticize the referee openly or directly … during or after games. Any concern

shall be done in writing to the club.

*We will only give positive feedback to players.

*We will cheer at all games within the spirit of fair play and shall do our best to cheer the

effort regardless of the outcome. We will be mindful in “lopsided” games where cheering our own

“winning” team might be misunderstood.

*We shall do our best to teach our players to become students of the game.

*We shall find the “little successes” that our children have during each match.

*We shall show the quality of our sportsmanship during and after each and every match and

help our child remember to thank the referee after the match without regard to the result.

*We shall have our child prepared for every match and training session.

*We shall support the learning effort of the players, coaches, and the referees by demonstrating

our patience.

*We shall leave the coaching to the coach during matches and training sessions. We shall do our best not to give our child instructions during the match.

*We agree to do our best to have as much fun watching the game as the players should have

playing the game.
